Evolution Coop Mission Statement

Looking at a few of my goals for ending 2009. I noticed that setting up the mission statement for Evolution Coop had already been done. It gets stated in the welcome E-Mail sent out to everyone who takes one of our E-Courses. SO as such I decided to post that welcome message here so that rather you take 1 of our courses or not you can see our mission. Now you really want to pay attention to that 2nd paragraph it is there that my vision of the future music industry can be seen. This morning I see the major labels working together on a new music format, all 4 cooperating? Naturally I don't have any faith that this will go beyond the new format but cooperation is needed by all, in some way or other.


I am ecstatic that you have decided to take our E-Course this week. You will automagically be added to our mailing list and be notified as new E-Courses come out. If you wish to only take this one E-Course that you signed up for. Don't worry the day after the Course finishes you will receive an unsubscribe notice. This is just to remind you so as to reduce any unwanted E-Mails on your part. I know from my own Mail box how frustrating it is to get unwanted E-Mails.

Now why this E-Course and all future ones? Well I have a vision of “Record Label 2.0” or the future of the music industry. This vision is not one of competition but one of Cooperation. When I say cooperation I don't just mean between musicians or music professionals but also between music lovers too. Music fans are no longer tied down to what is being sold to them but now can become part of the new industry in so many ways. Record Label 2.0 I believe is the building up of options for music lovers to participate in.
